What is wabi-sabi in the tea ceremony?

Let's explain the etymology of wabi-sabi.

"Wabi-sabi" is a combination of two words, "wabi (侘び)" and "sabi (寂び)", which originally had separate meanings.

  1. Etymology of "wabi (侘び)"
    It is the noun form of the verb "wabu (侘ぶ)".
